BIG MONEY
Nominated Canada’s Golden Sheaf Awards: Best Drama, 2004

I am a filmmaker based in Montreal and a graduate of The Cineplex Entertainment Film Program Directors' Lab at the Canadian Film Centre. I work in both fiction and documentary and gravitate towards stories that are immersive, evocative and compassionate. My goal is always to reveal the heart of a story and engage the audience in the film’s journey.

My narrative work has primarily been in television. Most recently, I co-created, executive produced and was an additional director for the eight-episode CBC/Netflix Original sports drama 21 Thunder, a gritty, no-holds barred look at under-21 soccer. I have also directed two television feature films for Lifetime USA: Crisis Point and The Surrogacy Trap, the CFC short film The Hunt and the Golden Sheaf Award-nominated short film Big Money.

I have directed numerous award-winning feature documentaries. My documentary, All Together Now, about the making of the Cirque du Soleil show LOVE featuring the music of the Beatles, earned me a Grammy Award for Best Long-Form Music Video, a Gémeaux (the French equivalent of the Geminis) for Best Cultural Documentary, won the audience award at the Festival de Nouveau Cinéma in Montreal, was a Top Ten favourite at Hot Docs and is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  I also directed and co-wrote the Gémeaux-winning In the Hands of Michel Tremblay (Best Director), directed the Gémeaux nominated Michael Jackson Immortal and directed Touch the Sky, a collaboration with NASA and Cirque du Soleil that followed the owner and founder of Cirque, Guy Laliberté, on his journey to the International Space Station (winner of the Audience Award at Festival Boulogne-Billancourt in Paris).

My documentary work for television includes two episodes of Qui Etes Vous? (the Quebec version of the hit BBC and NBC show Who Do You Think You Are?) for Radio Canada, five episodes of the Travel Channel USA show Mysteries at the National Parks, five episodes of Extraordinary Canadians for CBC, Suspicious Minds (an exploration of the myriad superstitions around the world) for CBC’s Doc Zone and multi-camera cinematic adaptations of the Cirque du Soleil shows Luzia and Toruk. I am a member of the Director’s Guild of Canada, and the Association of Réalisateurs et Réalisatrices of Quebec.
